Summer Music Camps

Here are links to some of the more popular summer music camps in the Midwest:
KVTA: Summer Theater Experience
KVTA presents a summer theater camp for ages 6-16. Located in Kankakee, Illinois this camp will helps students perfect their skills in musical theater. 
Illinois Summer Youth Music (ISYM)
University of Illinois hosts several week-long music camps in jazz, classical, and specific instruments.
Show Choir Camps of America
Located either at Millikin University or Heidelberg University, this week long camp focuses on performance in Show Choir
Camp Electric
Camp Electric brings together Christian musicians and teaches them band dynamics, the art of leading worship, and performance skills that are truly invaluable. But that’s just the beginning, they are able to do all of this while interacting with and jamming from their favorite Christian artists.
Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp
Also located in Michigan, this is also one of the oldest camps. Great for students who want a more traditional "camp experience" with their music.
Eastern Illinois Music Camp
Eastern Music Camp is a comprehensive, one-week camp that provides opportunities for students to build on their musical skills while enjoying interaction with peers and EIU faculty.
ISYM
Illinois Summer Youth Music brings over 1000 students and 150 faculty and staff together each summer for three weeks of intense music-making. 
Western Illinois Summer Music Institute
A week long camp with faculty and staff from Western Illinois University.

Kankakee Valley Piano Camp
Suzuki and traditional students ages 4 - 18 are invited to attend the Fifteenth Annual Kankakee Valley Piano Camp. The camp will be held at the Larsen Fine Arts Center at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois, July 18 - July 22 of 2016. Students will have the opportunity to participate in piano, voice, and ensembles as well as classes with master teachers. There will be performances, activities, and final student recitals.
